Design Service
We offer a comprehensive design service that will assure that your finished project turns out exactly as you had envisioned it. Although our design services are always tailored to your particular project they can be divided into three main categories for ease depending upon what stage your project is in or how developed your ideas are.
The Conceptual Plan
Do you have a few ideas about how you would like your remodel to look but aren’t sure you’ll really like it or if its even feasible? The conceptual plan allows us to come and measure the space and spend some time talking with you and brainstorming about what it is that you want to do. Then we develop a basic floorplan with your input along with simple elevations including cabinets, light fixtures, tile and plumbing. These are typically non-dimensioned drawings whose sole purpose is to give you an idea of what your finished project could look like and how it would function. At this point no specific materials are usually specified unless you have something that you’re sure you will be using. Working through this plan will give you assurance that you are on the right track. If you have trouble ‘visualizing’ what your ideas would actually look like then this is a great first step without a large commitment on your part to make sure you’re happy with the direction your project is going before any costly mistakes are made.
The Dimensioned Plan
If you have a more developed idea and are sure of the direction that you want to go but just need a little help producing some dimensioned architectural drawings to get the details worked out and to use for construction, then this option may be for you. Of course your space needs to be measured and we need to talk with you about your plans in order to start your design and drawings. We will work together to design your space and bring your ideas to life. These drawings are similar to the Conceptual Plan but are fully dimensioned and detailed enough so that as long as it’s not a terribly complicated remodel they will be usable as construction drawings. They will include a floorplan and elevations. At this point many clients also may need some help and advice with materials and finishes. This is a service that we are also happy to provide with many years experience in Kitchens, Baths, Offices and all other Living Spaces. There are so many options available these days its better to talk about your choices at the beginning of the project rather than realizing that something was missed at the end.
Comprehensive Design
If you are a very detail oriented person or if your project is complex enough to merit them, we also offer Comprehensive Design services. These drawings will be able to be used as construction documents for every element of your project. This set of fully dimensioned drawings will of course include the floorplan and elevations. However, it will also include a detailed Tile plan as well as a complete Electrical plan. In order to provide these plans we must work with the client extensively to specify all plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, cabinetry, counter tops, accessories, hardware, appliances, and tiles. If you want to have one point of contact and one expert designing your project from start to finish then this is the solution for you. You will not have to run around trying to find reliable and knowledgeable people in every specialty. We already have a fully developed team of experts in every field that will be coordinated by your designer to make your experience not only as stressless as possible but maybe just a little fun!
