Granite Applications

Below is a good example of a green granite installation in a small bathroom. This granite had gorgeous patterns and colors. Note how the granite countertop worked with the granite applications in other parts of the bathroom.

We use granite to pull together various parts of a remodeling project. We have installed granite threshholds, bench seats, corner shelves, mirror and shower corners.

Granite applications pull together the same "feel" across diverse areas of this bathroom. Note the countertop granite is used as corners for mirrors and the shower surround. The same granite is also used as the corner shelves in the shower, employing the same full bullnose "look" as seen in the countertop.

This bathroom replaced a bathroom in a very modest house that was built in the 1950s. The old bathroom was just awful. It had a wall sink, a tub/shower, a commode, and a very small passage between. It was a continuing battle to keep the black mold from showing up on the ceiling and other cold places in the room. It was very much like many bathrooms in Northern Virginia.

In order to obtain more flexibility in the use of space, the bathroom was turned into a study, and a new bathroom was built in part of what was bedroom space. We provided more closet space, which was almost nonexistent in the old house, and a new bathroom, although still small. We provided several high-end amenities such as upgraded shower fixtures, granite countertops, granite backsplashes, a heated floor and a separate space heater.
These are recent photographs of the bathroom which is approximately five years old, and which show there is not premature aging of this bathroom. This is a good example of how you can change the use of space successfully if your needs are not being met by the allocation of space in your small house. If you like the looks of the granite countertop above and can visualize how it would replace the dated or worn countertop in your bathroom, you may wish to call us.
